Running late の意味と文例
I'm late（遅れました）はよく使われる表現で、I'm sorry I'm late.のように、遅れてしまったことのお詫びの表現です。けれど、running lateだと、「遅れそう」というように、予定された時刻に間に合いそうにないときに使われる表現です。まだ遅刻したかどうかは確定的ではないときに、例えばスマホとかLINEなどで相手に遅れる可能性が高いことを伝えるときに用いるイディオムです。文例をあげておきます。
